1. Local Browser Processing Default

By default, all document processing, receipt image layout, PDF manipulation, digital signature generation, and numerical calculations occur strictly within your local browser tab memory.

Your input files, photos, notes, amounts, and calculation data are never uploaded to Finimore servers, stored in any database, or shared with third parties. When you reload or close the browser tab, all temporary working data is permanently and immediately discarded from memory.

• Receipt images, PDFs, signatures, and notes remain strictly on your local device
• Mathematical calculations and text processing execute via client-side JavaScript
• Reloading or closing the browser tab completely clears all in-memory workspace data

2. Service-Specific Network Exceptions

For almost all tools on Finimore, zero network requests containing user input are made. There are exactly two transparent, service-specific exceptions designed with strict data minimization principles:

1. Braille Translation (/api/v1/braille/translate): When you submit text for Braille conversion, the string is transmitted to our self-hosted Liblouis translation engine. It is processed transiently in server memory to generate Unicode Braille patterns and returned immediately. The text is never saved to disk, stored in any database, or sent to external AI APIs.

2. Currency Converter: The currency converter queries public reference exchange rates from the Frankfurter v2 API. This lookup transmits only the requested currency codes (such as USD, EUR, or JPY). The financial amounts you input and conversion totals are calculated locally in your browser and are never transmitted over the network.

• Braille conversion: transient processing via self-hosted Liblouis without storage or third-party AI APIs
• Currency conversion: requests public reference rates by currency code only; user amounts remain local
• All other calculators, receipt tools, PDF editors, and Morse converters run 100% offline in your browser

3. Standard Hosting & Access Logs

Like standard web platforms, our hosting infrastructure automatically records technical access logs to maintain uptime, protect against distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks, and enforce security policies.

These access logs may record your IP address, requested URL path, timestamp, HTTP status code, referrer URL, and browser user-agent header. These logs are used exclusively for infrastructure reliability and cybersecurity compliance. They are never combined or linked with any user tool inputs or generated documents.

• Server access logs contain only standard HTTP metadata (IP, timestamp, route, user-agent)
• Maintained solely for server security, error detection, and rate limiting
• No tracking or cross-referencing between server access logs and tool activity

4. Cookies & Third-Party Advertising (Google AdSense)

Finimore is supported by advertising to ensure that all tools remain free of charge without paywalls or subscriptions. When advertising is enabled on the site, third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this website or other websites on the internet.

Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visits to Finimore and/or other sites on the Internet.

Users may opt out of personalized advertising at any time by visiting Google Ads Settings (https://adssettings.google.com). Alternatively, users may opt out of third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting https://www.aboutads.info/choices/.

For visitors located in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, consent choices regarding advertising cookies are presented in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the ePrivacy Directive where applicable.

Under no circumstances are user document contents, receipt images, numerical values, or notes shared with Google AdSense or any advertising network.

Finimore may provide optional, external links for users who voluntarily wish to support the creator via platforms like Buy Me a Coffee or Ko-fi.

Clicking these links navigates you to external third-party sites governed by their own independent privacy policies and terms of service. Finimore does not attach receipt files, amounts, personal notes, or tool activity data to any support links.
